The project was born from the desire to avoid poisoning of public opinion. To this end, the project proposes the development of a taxonomy of pseudoscience that typifies its many manifestations. The most important obstacle for combating pseudoscience is primarily to understand it. For this, an exercise of delimitation and classification is needed since the term serves as an umbrella concept that encompasses a whole range of practices and phenomena.

 

The main objective of the project is to alert society to the series of dangers arising from pseudoscience. The project wishes alleviate unmet social need and central importance. Pseudoscience propagated thanks to the ignorance and doubts that it generates. The project offers the public a free and easy-to-use tool to help discern what is pseudoscience form what is not with rigorous criteria.
